Awakenings Movement

I went to church today.

I planned to go to First Baptist for the 11:30 service but I couldn't find a parking space. Now I know why they are having that campaign for a space. So I left and went to Awakenings Movement's 12:00 service - or is it 12:30? I dunno.

I learned why they are called the Awakenings Movement. They believe that everyone has God's promise and purpose within them it just needs to be awakened. Every day that state that belief and have people go around and say an awakening statement. Today's statement was: "When things get real bad that's when you know that God is real good." Or something like that. The message was about wearing your brokenness proudly. I thought of the way Tori Amos sang "Me and a Gun" every night onstage.
